On Friday at TD Garden, the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets will play a home game starting at 7:30 p.m. ET. The goal for the Celtics will be to extend their winning run at home to 20 games.
In their most recent game, the Celtics were a heavy favorite, and for good reason. San Antonio was defeated by them 117-98. By the half, with the score already at 70-45, the game was all but won.

Jokic, on the other hand, gave the losing team his all by recording a double-double with 25 points and 19 rebounds.
The Nuggets ended the game with 16 offensive rebounds, despite losing. They were also slamming the offensive boards. The 76ers only managed five offensive rebounds, so they handily outperformed their rivals in that area.
Boston's 32-9 record this season has been nicely boosted by their recent success, which includes winning 17 of their past 21 games. With their loss, Denver's record now stands at 28-14.
Given that the two clubs are among the greatest scorers in the league, a high-performance offensive game is probably on the cards. With an average of 120.9 points per game this season—they rank seventh in scoring overall—the Celtics have had no trouble scoring points. With an average of 116.3 points per game, the Nuggets aren't exactly lacking in that area. The only remaining issue is who can raise the score higher, given how readily both sides can earn points.
The Nuggets defeated the Celtics 123-111 to start the new year in less than ideal fashion. Jokic's outstanding play, which included a triple-double of 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, was a major contributing factor to that defeat. Will the Celtics be able to stop him this time, knowing the devastation he can cause? There's only one way to learn the truth.
