Rabat - At today's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d'Ivoire, the national football team of Cape Verde will play its second opponent, Mozambique.

Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium will host the match, and kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. in Morocco.

The ViX channel will stream the match immediately, while Fubo Sports Network will show it live on television.

With a 2-1 victory against Ghana, Cape Verde got off to a strong start in the competition. Meanwhile, Mozambique held their Egyptian opponent to a 2-2 tie.

Mozambique and Cape Verde will play in their first-ever AFCON Africa Cup of Nations encounter; the latter side had beaten Mozambique in its previous three meetings.

The Cape Verdean coach Pedro Brito, often known as Bubista, said at the press conference that the victory "has a special flavor, because at our first AFCON in 2013, Ghana eliminated us," as reported by the Egyptian newspaper Ahram Online on January 15.

"We want to show the world what we can do—that we are small but we can compete on football terms with all teams in Africa," Bubista said, despite the fact that his country is an island.

According to the same source, head coach Chiquinho Conde was upset by Mozambique's tie. "I'm really angry with how the game turned out. The coach said, "They predicted before the game that we would lose 5-0 and Salah would score a hat trick.

Even though it was a difficult game, the coach thinks his team did "a great job" and that they deserved to win.
