Champions League permutations: Who needs what to make the round of 16?

 See who has advanced to the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, who has been eliminated, and what needs to happen for the remaining teams to advance.



Arsenal*, Atletico de Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern*, Dortmund, Inter, Lazio, Leipzig, Man City*, PSV Eindhoven, Real Madrid*, Real Sociedad *Arena* advanced to the round of 16.

Braga, Copenhagen, Galatasaray, Manchester United, Milan, Napoli**, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain**, Porto**, and Shakhtar** are among the teams that can advance on Matchday 6.

12/12: Copenhagen vs. Galatasaray and Manchester United vs. Bayern (21:00)

Bayern won their group and advanced to the round of 16.

If Copenhagen defeats Galatasaray or draws and United loses to Bayern, they will advance to the round of 16 as group runners-up. If Copenhagen draws and United wins, they will finish third and advance to the Europa League knockout round play-offs. if United and Copenhagen both lose. If Copenhagen loses and United draws, they could also finish third. The two teams' final rankings are based on three criteria: overall goal difference, overall goals scored, and overall goals scored away from home, which would place Copenhagen fourth.

If Galatasaray defeats Copenhagen, they advance to the round of 16 as group runners-up. If neither Galatasaray nor United win, they will finish third and advance to the Europa League knockout round play-offs.

If Man United defeats Bayern and the other match is drawn, they will advance to the round of 16 as group runners-up. If United wins and the other team wins, they will finish third and advance to the Europa League knockout round play-offs. There is no draw in the game. If United draws and Copenhagen loses, they could also finish third.
